Windows 10 Enterprise tablet without 'admin' privileges
Hello,
I have Microsoft Surface Pro 6, company-owned, with a custom Windows 10 Enterprise (version 1809) image loaded on the tablet. Is it safe to assume this Windows 10 doesn't have DisplayLink required software installed on the tablet? If so, I assume I would not be able to install the (DisplayLink) driver/software since I don't have the admin privileges. It looks I would not be able to move forward with the plan to connect this (Microsoft Surface Pro 6) tablet to DisplayLink docking station(s). Is this valid assumption? |

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on the forum. Yes your assumption is correct. DisplayLink powered devices needs our driver to fully operate and project displays so in this case you would need to have the drivers installed on your windows system. Without it you will be probably able to use only the docking station as a USB hub. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us again. Best regards, Jakub
