Default M2 Macbook Pro -- Can't get both monitors to 4K

I have a 2022 Macbook Pro M2, an LG 4K monitor and a Dell 4k monitor. My company provided a Cable Matters USB-C multiport video adapter that has a USB-C port, 2 USB 3 ports and an HDMI port. They also sent me a CableMatters 4K UHD displayport-HDMI adapter.

Currently only the monitor I connect directly to USB-C on the Macbook shows 4K. Connecting a display via adapter and USB 3.0 works, but the display is not 4K. If I try connecting the HDMI cable directly into CableMatters adapter the display is not recognized.

It's hard on the eyes to have one display crisp and other a lesser resolution. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Everything worked fine when I was able to connect USB-C and HDMI directly to my personal 14" MBP.

Default Issue fixed (kind of)

I was able to fix the issue by digging up another displayport cable and connecting to the hub through the adapter without the 4K HDMI adapter. Still not understanding why direct HDMI connect to the Cable Matters hub doesn't work.
