dim secondary display
I have a Dell Latitude laptop in a docking station which is connected to my primary monitor which works fine. My secondary monitor, connected via a DVI USB display adapter works fine, except that the screen is dim. I have adjusted the monitors brightness manually, but still is too dim. Any solutions. I have ruled out that it is due to a problem with the monitor, as it function fine when connected directly to my laptop.

It could be that the monitor is not running at its preferred resolution. When you test with your laptop output, are you trying the same resolution and timing as the output of the DisplayLink adapter?
I suspect the monitor may not be running at its preferred resolution, as the adapter might not support it. Wim |
