Default E1649Fwu used to work with ASUS Gaming Laptop

Hi folks. My USB monitor worked fine for a couple of months, until the recent firmware upgrades started in April. Now, my monitor never stays on for a few minutes without flickering and then completely going blank. The Device Manager still shows the e1649Fwu as being connected, but no display.

I've updated all firmware that I know of, including the newest from AOC dated 2 June. When upgrading to that version, the monitor stayed on for quite awhile. However, later that day when I tried using it again and it started back up with it's annoying flickering and screen going blank.

Below, I pasted the DisplayLink tool error system capability check when it is working and not working. I also attached the DL tools support information logs. The 0700 file is when it was working.

Is this monitored doomed to go in the garbage can??? Help!
