Default Software for B2B044

I have recently bought a belkin USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Stand for Ultrabooks (B2B044). When I read the manual, it said I could download the drivers here: www.displaylink.com/support/downloads but this link doesn't exist. so I tried installing these drivers one at a time but they won't work.(http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/windows) I am using a dell inspiron 15 7559 with windows 10.

Hello,
You will find in my forum post signature how to collect the information we need to troubleshoot your particular issue.

I've submitted a request to see if we can add a redirect from the old page. But because we don't manufacture any docking station, the user guide is not produced by us so I cannot update it, Belkin would have to.

Kind regards,
Alban

Hello,

There isn't any product connected to the machine, the report says.
I'd recommend reinstalling the drivers and plug the device to gather new logs, please.

Kind regards,
Alban

When I am installing the drivers it asks me to connect the device. But when I do that it wont recognise it, I once let it search for 2 hours but is wont find it, because there is a skip button I pressed skip. I think the driver I installed is the wrong one.

The drivers you are installing are correct for all devices using DisplayLink technology.
I would advise you connect using another cable, in another USB port to rule out a port issue or mechanical problem.
Check also the power supply of the dock, if there is one.

Hello,

The devices you are plugging in are USB2. The Ethernet and display are USB3. Therefore having a keyboard working does NOT mean your hardware is fully working. The issue could, and is, localised to the USB3.

The last logs misses most of the files.
I can however see that the device manager does NOT detect your docking station properly

dvi: No class installer for 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)'

If you did plug your docking station at 16:22-16:24 on Wednesday, then you are not experiencing an issue with DisplayLink drivers. Device descriptors is the lowest level possible, DisplayLink drivers are not invoked at that stage. This is the stage were the hardware introduces itself to Windows.

I would recommend you contact the manufacturer with this information (and the error in the guide) for hardware support.

Kind regards,
Alban
