Unhappy USB devices plugged in through Wavlink not recognized

I have a Wavlink WL-UMD501 that I am using with a Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop. It's been mostly working fine, until a couple days ago. Now, while the monitors still work, nothing plugged in via USB is recognized.
The LED on the Wavlink device is on, so it looks like it's getting power. However, no lights on the keyboard and mouse. The Ethernet jack has lights but the connection is not detected by the laptop.

Things I've tried:
  • Installed drivers from Wavlink website
  • Turned power mode to high performance
  • Disabled USB selective suspend in advanced power options
  • Tried every port, USB 2 and 3.0, none work
  • Updated Dell drivers and firmware
  • Installed all windows updates

I tried with a different Dell laptop and it worked perfectly.

I really just have no idea what to try next. Any suggestions?

Edit: I should mention that I reached out to Wavlink already, and they told me to get bent
