Unhappy DisplayLink (5.0.1) and Mojave (10.14.3) Causing Constant Freezes

13 inch Touchbar MacBook Pro 2018 running Mojave 10.14.2 and 10.14.3, just tested out DisplayLink software 5.0.1 and the external monitors work perfectly fine.

However after a couple of days, it appears that DisplayLink User Agent become "not responding" while sucking up large CPU usage (also heats up the machine quite a bit). I then tried uninstalling the software using the tool that comes along with the installation, apparently the uninstalling messes up some drivers and my MBP would recognize the internal speaker for a few seconds then would be able to recognize the speaker for another few seconds, and remains in the back and forth loop while also causing constant system freeze.

Is there anything I could do to solve the issue? I only back up up till after installing the DisplayLink softwares. Is there a way I should follow to uninstall the software properly?

Thanks.

Unhappy Looking for advice...

Sort of half fixed the problem by uninstalling DLUA in safe mode, the speaker seems to be working fine until I try to put it in mute or adjust volume, it will either log me out or revert to previous volume/unmute. Anybody has any clue on what I should do? Thanks a million times in advanced.

Can you try 5.1 release we published few days ago? If you still encounter the problem, please provide logs captured by our support tool.

Thanks
Michal

So it seems you now have problems with audio even with the driver uninstalled?

Can you try resetting the SMC and NVRAM and see if the problem goes away?

I tried resetting both but unfortunately the problem still persists. After numerous times of re-installing Mac OS clean and testing I seemed to have solved the problem by performing a TM recovery by leaving out all the apps. Now I'm very hesitant to try the 5.1 version TBH...
