Default Native resolution not available when second monitor is plugged in

Hi there,

I have a DL-3900 (PR08) which I'm really pleased with, however I have a strange issue.

I have a monitor that supports a native resolution of 2560 x 1440. This works great using the PR08 when plugged in via DP. However when I plug in another monitor via DVI that has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, the first monitor then only allows me to select a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1152.

Does anyone know of a work around for this? I'm not sure if it's a bug or a limitation. Just seems a bit strange that by plugging in second monitor I'm then no longer able to select the native resolution on the first monitor.

It doesn't seem to be OS specific as I get the same results on Windows & MacOS. I've attached the diagnostics from Windows to this post.

Many thanks.

Hello Navster,

The chip has a limited total throughput/capacity. This applies to both DL-3000 and DL-5000 series.
Instead of displaying a black screen as a second output, the first output is downgraded so both outputs are alive. That's the preferred behaviour expressed by the product manufacturers.

Kind regards,
Alban
