macOS DisplayLink manager 10.0 lag/refresh/crash
When typing on a displaylink screen the character updates appear to lag sporadically.
The user experience when typing is to see sporadic delays that look like you type a letter, backspace over it, and update it again. This is not captured by screen recording, however. This was first noticed when I upgraded my docking station. I went from a Dell D6000 with DisplayLink Manager v1.8.0 to a Plugable Triple USB-C dock (UD-3900PDZ) with DisplayLink Manager v1.10.0 Minor updates to macOS did not help. I had considered returning the doc but I did enjoy not losing my USB audio devices that frequently curse the Dell D6000. I have also noticed the DisplayLink Manager stops running occasionally as well. This was never an issue with v1.8.0 I downgraded the DisplayLink Manager from v1.10.0 to v1.8.0 and the lag disappeared. I am still on Ventura 13.6.2 using the Plugable dock. Anyone else see lag as described? |

I would suggest installing 1.9 in order to see if the behavior changes. If installing 1.9 does not help, then I would suggest contacting Plugable directly for assistance --> https://plugable.com/pages/support |

Update: the delay ALSO happens on DisplayLink Manager for versions 1.8.0
Upgrading to version 1.9.0 did not help. I have created a post in the Plugable support forum here https://support.plugable.com/t/scree...r-or-lag/23867 |

I have the same issue:
- MacBook Air M2, - macOS 14.1.2 (23B92) - Anker 563 USB-C Docking Station (10-in-1), - Apple Bluetooth-Keyboard Model A1314, - Apple Bluetooth-Trackpad Model A1339, - DisplayLink Manager 1.10.0 (Build 117) - one screen attached: EIZO FlexScan EV2451 When the flickering first occurred, I had DisplayLink Manager 1.08 installed. I updated to 1.10.0, hoping to get rid of this phenomena. This wasn't the case. |
