Unhappy Windows 10 Dell D3100 USB 3.0 dock not waking HDMI monitor after sleep

I've had this issue since new, Windows 10 X64, intel I5 system with USB 3.0 and 1080P HDMI monitor connected to Dell D3100 dock. About 70-80 % of the time after the computer goes to sleep the external monitor is not recognized. All the other peripherals on the USB dock, including ethernet are live just not the monitor. Unplugging the USB from the Computer and plugging back in makes it work 100% of the time.
Several users at our office are having this issue, and I'm getting tired of the support calls. Latest drivers and all windows updates are installed, yet still have the issue.

Help please.
