Default 2 external screens m1 macbook?

I'm trying to find a workaround for my macbook M1 2020 (macOS venturn) to run 2 external screens; I know it is natively supposed to only run 1 external screen. It was suggested on macworld https://www.macworld.com/article/675...n-m1-macs.html that Displaylink download would allow this through an adapter, but it doesn't register a second monitor when I go through settings, displays on y machine. Only 1 external monitor comes up.
I have 2 Samsung screens that mirror each other. They are connected to a bon.elk external desktop hub with 2 HDMI's running to the screen.
I'm trying to split them so that I could use one screen to read from, and one screen to write on, without having to toggle between tabs on my browser. Any suggestions?

As 'ScreamCZE' mentioned, we need to know both the brand and exact model of device you are using. This is important because the brand 'bon.elk' appears to make many different products. Please provide the specific model number of the device you are using or provide us with a direct web link.

With that said, previously you mentioned, 'I have 2 Samsung screens that mirror each other.' Your result suggests that the product you are using does not have DisplayLink technology inside of it, but rather it has DisplayPort Multi-stream (also known as DP MST) technology inside of it.

Presuming my impression is correct, Mac computers do not support DP MST, which is why both monitors are mirrored. Again presuming my impression is correct, since your device does not have DisplayLink technology inside of it that means that DisplayLink will not be able to assist you.

Decently sounds more like a hub than a dock with DL tech built in.

Here is a list of devices, if you looking for low cost then the D6000 is best option..
