Question HP Pavilion DV6 - Computer Freezes

I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit) on my new Pavilion dv6 laptop computer. I have downloaded the latest Display Link drivers and done all of the basic checks to verify service is running, etc. As soon as I connect my laptop to the Display Link port replicator (sold as HP) my computer absolutely freezes! I have checked the list of unsupported graphic drivers and I think I am okay. HP support offers no solutions to this problem. Is there something I'm missing or I can try?

BTW: I also have an HP 2000 Laptop computer and I was able to download the newest driver and it works perfectly with the port replicator.

Thanks - Virginia

Please follow the instructions in http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 and follow up with the results for the failing system. Does it still crash if you have the service stopped?
