Default Extreme CPU usage?

I run top end hardware, Dell XPS 15, with modified RAM and NVME disks. It is a monster machine, yet, for the first time ever, DisplayLink managed to eat up to 30% of my 16 cores. (I am using "htop" to gather system resources data)

In idle state it is using roughly 15% of the cores. Only Firefox comes second to DisplayLink. But this is absurd! Running a docking station for 200$ should, just because it uses DisplayLink should not come with this usage. I have a cheap 40$ docking station and it uses 0% CPU, and just passes through the signal via Thunderbird3.

Surely there must be a way to bringing this down to 1% or at most 5%? Also it lags if I move too fast on the external monitor. What is the fix?
