Is DisplayLink the wrong product for me? It looks like I can 'extend' the main display over to my TV but I have no clue what is showing on the MacBook Pro main display as it is broken.
When I use a thunderbolt to HDMI cable, the TV shows everything on the main display. Is there a way to configure DisplayLink the same way? Thank you. |

Mirroring Display setting brought all the icons to the tv.
Thanks |

DisplayLink might not be ideal for your needs, as it's best for extending displays, not replacing a broken one. A direct Thunderbolt to HDMI cable, as you're using, is more suitable for showing your MacBook Pro's main display on your TV. DisplayLink can technically mirror displays, but setup could be tricky with a non-functional MacBook screen.
