FIrst the specs: MacBookPro M3 Max, 128GB (1512 x 982), WavLink box driving an LG UltraWide monitor (3440 x 1440) and an HP P274 (1920 x 1080). Monitors are both connected with the HDMI cables to the WavLink. The WavLink is connected to the MBP via an Anker dongle that gives me the fastest connection currently known to man. I just removed the DisplayLink software I was running, and installed what I think is the latest version (1.11). The OS is Sequoia 15.2.
Now the problem: I can't see videos playing from ANY streaming service on ANY of the monitors. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple, and finally determined that the problem lies somewhere in the DisplayLink software. However, turning off DisplayLink is NOT a viable solution, as it then limits me to the internal monitor for video display. This is (far as I can tell) strictly a streaming problem - YouTube.com videos play just fine. This began recently. Dunno if it's an OS thing, or some other incompatibility, but again, the symptoms and attempts to find an answer suggest that it's a DisplayLink glitch. I need a fix for this, like yesterday. Can anybody help me out here? |
