Has anyone created an embedded device and used a DisplayLink monitor as primary monitor so that even BIOS notifications are displayed on it. We are investigating the use of a 7" touch screen monitor built into the PC and want to not only use it as primary monitor, but also re-route all BIOS and windows startup screens to the this monitor. Has anyone done that?
We are planning on using Win7 embedded. Many thanks for any info. Sean |

No - DisplayLink displays are not currently supported by PC BIOSes.

I'd also be interested to hear if DisplayLink support UEFI BIOS now, or if there is a new way to have DisplayLink show the BIOS content? 6 years is a long time, so hopefully this is now possible! I have problems with Windows switching into checking for corrupt disks after a bad shutdown, which prevents the DisplayLink drivers being loaded.
