How determine chipset in adapter?
I'm using a generic USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter with Displaylink chipset and supports up to 2048 x 1152. Everything works fine, but I want to know the chipset model. Is there away (like a utility program) to peer inside to find out?

Not to my knowledge. Try searching manually here https://www.displaylink.com/integrated-chipsets

Hello,
We don't provide a tool as we are not always the only chip in the video path. Therefore having the DisplayLink chipset does not always determine the characteristics of the box. 2048px sounds like the HDMI max capability of the DL-3000 and DL-5000 series. You can look at this resolution matrix as it tends to give you the maximum of the box: https://support.displaylink.com/know...rticles/525038 Alternatively, if you can gather the Hardware ID details from Device Manager details of the adapter, we can usually tell you what DL chip is in the box (except if a generic product ID is being used). The Hardware ID is as follows: USB\VID_17e9&PID_XXXX. I would need the XXXX, if you have a REV_YYYY afterwards, it could be helpful. I don't need the MI_0Z. Regards, Alban
