Default tons of logs in /var/log/displaylink DisplayLinkManager.log

I am having GBs of logfiles in my /var/log/displaylink
like
DisplayLinkManager20230227-135830_1848966.log
FirmwareTrace20230220-111322_360434.log

I have no clue where the verbosity needs to be reduced. Can someone help me? Working under Ubuntu

maybe it is

cat /sys/devices/evdi/loglevel
5

But cannot find where this setting is persisted?!?
