Question brightness/contrast adjust AOC e1649Fwu at Yosemite 10.10.3

Is it possible to adjust brightness/contrast of AOC e1659Fwu portable display?
using Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on rMBP.

On Windows it is easily adjusted via GUI accessed through DisplayLink icon on bottom right panel.

Also DisplayLink wouldn't work on Windows 8.1 run through Parallels virtual machine on Mac.

Hi,

Some features of the DL-4xxx series are not currently supported on Mac. Among these the OSD that controls brightness.
Your question helps in prioritising this feature higher thank you.

About Parallels it's more a Windows forum question. From what I know it all depends on the graphics drivers running on the VM. Our Windows drivers support the major GPU manufacturer and at least on my Parallels installation the GPU is driven by a Parallels custom WWDM driver that is probably not supported.

Best regards,
Carlo

Hi Carlos,

Thank you for quick reply.

Hope the "brightness/contrast on Mac" issue will be solved soon as it is one of key features for serious monitor use.

Running the monitor via usb only is really convenient.

Any word on this? Being able to access the most basic of display properties is quite important. Saying it is OS X compatible is kind of misleading. Thanks.

++++1. The lack of brightness adjustments with Mac OSX makes the monitor nearly unusable. Don't advertise your product as Mac supporting if such crucial functionality is missing.

Default Brightness is solved (still waiting for contrast)

this open-source tool allows you to control brightness on screens separately:
https://github.com/MonitorControl/Mo...ntrol/releases

PS: be sure to download the latest version since DisplayLink support got added recently (version 4.0.2 i think)

If you've found any solution for the contrast issue, please share it
