Unhappy Same ubuntu instalation, 2 computers, one does not work

I'm going crazy with this...

I have 2 computers:
1 - Ryzen 7 1800X with B350 chipset + ASM2142 USB 3.1 Host Controller (PCI-e to USB-c controler)
2 - Ryzen 5 4650 HP elitebook laptop.

I have a USB3 external disk with ubuntu 22.04 installed

I have 2 USB-c hubs with 1 displaylink each (HDMI) both fairly new (one bought 2 days ago, another, a few months) each from a separate brand.

I test the following:

I connect both the Ubuntu external disk and one of the hubs to my laptop (Ryzen 4650).
Ubuntu automatically detects the displaylink port and I get an image on the monitor connected to it. All without any shell command or configuration.

I connect both Ubuntu external disk and one of the hubs to my desktop (Ryzen 1800x).
Ubuntu detects the hub, and forwards both usb2 and usb3 connected devices but no displaylink is forwarded, and no image appears on the monitor connected to it..
Also, "lsusb -d 17e9:" command returns nothing.
the command lwhw shows the dedicated controller with a connected speed of, 10000mbps, so speed should not be a problem.

This same behavior happens with both USB-c hubs, including when I use a USB-c PD on the hub that provides a power input.
This same behavior happens independent on the usb-c port I use, including the onboard usb-c port of the b350 instead of the dedicated controller.
This same behavior has been seen in Windows 10(latest build)

Despite this, the Desktop computer works flawlessly without any apparent hardware issues in both Linux and windows.

To me, this indicates that either my desktop hardware is not supported or that my bios requires a different configuration.

Is there anything I'm overlooking?
Is there an old bios setting that need to look for?

Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.
