Hello,

Would either of you mind reporting this to Malwarebytes?
They are more likely to take note from a customer rather than another company contacting them out of the blue...

It might be useful for me to send some hardware for their troubleshooting, or we could potentially work together in solving this.

If you do and they wish to speak to someone at DisplayLink, invite them to contact Technical_Enquiries@DisplayLink.com and ask for Alban referring to this thread.
