Secondary or Tertiary Monitor Not Detecting After Sleep

Hello.

This had been a challenge ever since I had upgrade my MacBook Pro to Monterey (and the issue persist even in Ventura). I had no issue with BigSur and prior version.

More or less, it seems like once the MacBook goes into sleep mode, the secondary monitor does not get detected and no longer works after waking. I have tried multiple attempts from google and still had no luck. Now, I have worked with my company's IT staff (since it is my employer's laptop) and if we "reset" DisplayPort (1st time was about system preference settings and second time was launch the DisplayPort manager automatically). BUT once it goes to sleep, it does not detect monitors moving forward.

Steps I have done:
1. Reinstall Drivers (that in itself does not work but when the "reset" was done, it was after reinstall drivers and the monitors worked again only to not work after sleep)
2. I have restarted and even shutdown to consider USB-C/Thunderbolt being disabled by MacOS. Note, that it does not seem to be the case as power does go through the Thunderbolt port for charging with the docking station and even portable USB-C monitor). Also, I tried multiple thunderbolt when troubleshooting.
3. Upgrade OS (this was a requirement by my IT policy and hence the problem started since Monterey upgrade)
4. I have unplug the power of the monitor or docking station but in general did not work except 1 time which was right after 1st reset. Afterward, never worked since

At the end, I going crazy that I can't use a secondary monitor to work for 1+ month and I do not know what else could be the issue. Note, I can't use the hard drive never sleep option because I need to conserve battery while traveling (so sleep is needed for longevity of laptop use). Also, once it is out of power, this fate will happen again.

I was looking at DisplayPort Manager and see the detected monitor but after sleep, it does not detect anything

A quick note, previously you used the word 'DisplayPort' as opposed to 'DisplayLink'. DisplayLink USB video technology is not the same as the DisplayPort video protocol.

With that said, on 3/16/2023 DisplayLink released an updated version of the DisplayLink Manager Application for macOS, version 1.8.1 --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ownloads/macos

"C. Changes in this release

The second item listed appears to match your description of the behavior.

If you update to DisplayLink Manager version 1.8.1, does that change the behavior?

I decided to see if my DisplayLink driver is outdated and updated to the latest 1.8.1. (My apologies, you are right.. just typing and multi-tasking with troubleshooting just made me write the wrong thing)....

Reinstalled and shutdown. Power up and did pick up the secondary monitor. Sleep the computer and turned it back on. Seem to work.

Going through several more testing before validating that it was the driver. As the prior poster wrote (which I read after doing the latest driver prior to going to this forum), seems to be the issue.. outdated driver and validating my employer IT that it should not be an issue to keep on the latest (I assume at this point).
