Windows ThinPC / Embedded
Has anybody been able to get a displaylink EVGA UV Plus+16 (or any other displaylink USB video device) to work in Windows ThinPC / Embedded?
I'm using the latest v6.3 software and it will install the software without a problem, but will not initialize the second monitor. On boot the tray icon appears and pops up a bubble saying it is not compatible with this hardware or version of windows. We've used this combination of hardware before, just not this version of Windows, so i assume that is where the problem lies. Is it possible to make this work? Has anyone tried to? |

Found a solution!
The DisplayLinkManager service needed to be set to run in compatibility mode. to do this i set the following registry entry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\AppCompatFlags\Layers Name: C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\DisplayLinkManager.exe Value Type: REG_SZ Value: VISTASP2 I've only done preliminary testing, but it's working, and doesn't seem to have caused any problems yet. |
