Default Build hangs on Ubuntu 18.10

(Yes, I did search the forum before asking. )

The build hangs when installing DisplayLink on my Ubuntu 18.10. This is what it looks like:

root@min1:tmp> ./displaylink-driver-5.1.26.run
Verifying archive integrity... 100% All good.
Uncompressing DisplayLink Linux Driver 5.1.26 100%
DisplayLink Linux Software 5.1.26 install script called: install
Distribution discovered: Ubuntu 18.10
Installing
Configuring EVDI DKMS module
Registering EVDI kernel module with DKMS
Building EVDI kernel module with DKMS

If I kill this and re-try the installation, it breezes through, but won't detect my DUEX USB screen.

SLSupportToll output in attachment.

Cheers,
