Angry Windows 8 device not recognize

Hi there,

On my Acer Aspire S7, brand new and delivered with W8 Pro, I installed the DisplayLink drivers.
When connecting my Kensington SD3000V with the laptop, the device manager seems te be searching for the attatched device. It flashes on and off for a couple of times and then stops the searching. The result is that the DisplayLink device from Kensington is not found and not working. No device is found in the device manager. Another consequence is that pc connectivity with the LAN is stopped, the touch-display does not respond to touch anymore.

I've tried with another colleague's SD3000V and the same problem is there. His W7 machine works great with the displaylink.
Support tool info attatched, perhaps is helps.

Help?
