Angry 1.7b2 Drivers Case Fireworks CS5 To Crash Upon Opening in Mac Lion

I don't know why, but for some reason the new driver for Mac OS Lion is causing Adobe Fireworks CS5.1 to crash upon opening. I just can never get it to open.

I spent 2 hours on phone support with Adobe and they couldn't get it to open or figure out why it wouldn't open based on the crash reports. I then unplugged my dual monitors and just used the Macbook Pro Laptop screen and Fireworks opened just fine.

Safari is also crashing sporadically since I installed the new driver this morning. It never crashes when I'm not using my dual monitors (enabled via the Diamond BVU195 HD USB Display Adapter).

Any tips on how to remedy the situation would be most appreciated.

Default Hardware?

You didn't mention anything about your hardware. There might be some workarounds depending on what kind of machine you are using.

Please see the other thread about the beta drivers not working in Lion for some potential workarounds.

Default Hardware Involved

Here's the hardware I'm using:

1. 2011 MacBook Pro 15"
2. Two Samsung T220 Monitors
3. Diamond BVU195 HD USB Display Adapter - enables 1 monitor using DisplayLink drivers
4. Mini Display Port to DVI adapter - enables 2nd monitor

Default Additional Details

When I unplug the Diamond BVU195 HD USB Display Adapter (which enables 1 monitor using DisplayLink drivers), Adobe Fireworks opens just fine. I can then re-plug in the USB adapter to enable my second monitor and Fireworks continues to stay open and work.

But as long as the USB adapter is plugged in, Fireworks won't open without crashing immediately.

Here's the ERROR CODE that I am given about why it is crashing:

Are you using the DL display as primary display? If this is the case, could you please switch the primary display to the internal one and restart Fireworks? Thanks
