Default Install errors macOS

Hi,

When deploying the software (v1.8) to my fleet of laptops that have either 1.6 or 1.7 currently installed, I am seeing quite a few errors. Either it can't install because "/ is disabled." Or it thinks a newer version is already installed.

These are installing via Jamf on login as I thought at first it couldn't install at the loginwindow. But it seems there are still issues just trying to do an unattended/silent install with the pkg.

Can you provide any guidance on mass deployment and how it is supposed to work?

Thanks!

Note from moderator - I moved this topic into the 'Mac Software section of the forum.

DisplayLink has a section within their knowledge base devoted to Corporate Deployment information --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...ate-deployment

Within that section, there are three Mac specific topics:

https://support.displaylink.com/know...tware-within-a

https://support.displaylink.com/know...ware-with-jamf

https://support.displaylink.com/know...tware-within-a

If that information does not help, I would suggest you contact DisplayLink directly for further assistance --> https://support.displaylink.com/

Thanks for the reply. I have followed those guides previously but still get the error. That's what prompted my post here. Re-reading my original post, I guess I did leave it as just a general call for deployment help. My thinking was I have tried what was published so obviously I was missing something else. But, looking back, it seems misleading. Sorry for that. So I guess a call to support is in order.

Any other ideas? Following the guidelines does not result in a successful install for me at the loginwindow.

It seems the software has to be installed only when an active user has a session.

If you have not already done so, I would suggest you contact DisplayLink directly for further assistance --> https://support.displaylink.com/
