Extended Monitor Black after Installing 5.2.1
I installed Cataline 10.15 yesterday and updated my Displaylink drivers to 5.2.1. All updates went successfully. The drivers are registered and activated. Security/Privacy permission have been granted.
However, the extended monitor is black. When I go to Display settings and hit Gather Windows I see the extended monitor (LG Ultrawide). I tried the default and every scaled resolution setting. I also see that my mouse is able to scroll over to where the monitor should be. - MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) - MacOS Catalina (10.15.2 (19C57)) - DisplayLink Plug and Display (not sure of what model it is since there is no model # on it. It does have "Cable Matters" written on it.) - Extended Monitor (LG-25UM58-P-25-Inch-21-UltraWide) I've also installed the Mac system info tool and generated a report but I'm not sure where to send it..... Please advise. Thank you, Joe |

Fix - Did not work
Update - A DisplayLink technical engineer emailed me a solution which required me to clean and rebuild the system cache. I followed the instructions, executing all the steps twice but this did not solve the issue

Hello,
I'd recommend continuing the dialogue on the ticket then. I put the alpha of a new app online a couple of days ago. As the complexity is lowered, it might be easier for you to get it to work reliably. If you wish to try the preview app, here is the guide I would recommend reading first. Kind regards, Alban
