Please note that 'DisplayPort' is a display protocol, while 'DisplayLink' is a USB video technology. They are not the same. In brief, DP MST allows two unique video signals to be transported over one cable, which allows the daisy chain configuration to work. macOS does NOT support DP MST, which is why both displays are showing a mirror image, and why the operating system only detects one external display. Because this is a macOS limitation, there is no workaround for this behavior. In other words, you cannot purchase a device to put in between the computer and the displays that will allow them to work in their current physical configuration. |
