Default Ridiculous CPU usage on Ubuntu 16.10

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
8024 root 20 0 2155480 45528 3812 S 159.6 0.3 224:10.32 DisplayLin+

I would call this a bit extreme CPU usage.

System:

Linux xxx 4.8.0-26-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 18 14:39:52 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Ubuntu 16.10
Latitude E6540
Installed version from displaylink-driver-1.2.65.run

Adaptor:
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 17e9:4324 DisplayLink

CPU load sometimes drops to low 70s, still less than ideal.
I can provide you with any logs you need, we can chat as well on anything that's convenient for you.

Default CPU USage

Hi,

I have the same problem when my dock station (Kensington sd 3500v) is enable with my 2 screen full hd, the CPU used one proc to 100% and the other to 50%.

My laptop is a dell 9350 core i7 16Go Ram. Before in 16.04 we have few problem or deconnection but in 16.10 with the new driver, I can't work with my dock station.

Have you a idea ?
