Question Monitor is not detected anymore

Hi,

I have a MacBook Air and a portable external monitor, (AOC I1659FWUX) It is connected through a usb 3 bus.

It used to work fine but I can not seem to get it working anymore.
If I want to detect another display apart from the built in one it is just not recognised..

The monitor does still show up in the system information (see attachments also Display Link information report) and it is also powered because when connecting through the USB the AOC logo is ,shortly, visible. Afterwards though the screen goes black. It still works fine on a pc.. I tried everything from removing and installing DisplayLink to installing the OS anew (Mojave 10.14.6) , rebooting, NVRAM etc,,

I am not sure but I think the problem occurred after installing Mackeeper..... (I removed it !!!!) however they do not think this is possible.... but it probably did damage some files here?? Can I still repair? Please heLP Thank you
Can anybody help me out here? Thank you!

Hello, it happens to me too. AOC logo flashes for a fraction of a second then black , then it starts back in a never ending cycle.

I never installed Mackeeper so I don't think it is related.

BTW, did you achieve to solve it?

Thanks

Can it be a hardware problem? Isn't the wire damaged?

Default Same Problem with ASUS (MB16AC)

I have a MacBook Pro and ASUS external monitor. The monitor use to work but stoped working recently. It is not a hardware issue since I can get the monitor and USBC cord to work on my iMac. See encl system info.

I've got some users whom have a Dell D6000 attached to two 1080P screens, both via DisplayPort and mine just extends to one of them, while dupe on the other :/

Are you connecting to their dock and having the same issue? OR do you have a D6000 as well but only one display shows?
