Cant connect 2 external monitor?
Hello Everyone...
Currently have a MacBook Air 2018 running Monterey 12.5.1. Also using a Wavlink (WL-UMD05) docking station. External monitors are Philips 276E8VJSB. I've downloaded Display Links latest driver. I'm able to extend my MacBook Air to one of my external monitors but not able to do a second. Each of the monitors mimic each other but not able to use each of them as an extension. When I try and open display link...it tells me "No display link enabled display detected" I have each monitor plugged in with HDMI into the docking station...then i have a usb-c plugged from the docking station into my MacBook Air. Any help would be appreciated...thank you! Last edited by rbeard77; 09-06-2022 at 11:02 PM. |

Need to use a DisplayLink compatible adapter
Are the HDMI adapters you are using DisplayLink capable? If not, you'll need one of those to get multiple monitors. On my M2 MacBook I am using one of the Plugable 4K Docking Stations and I'm able to run three monitors through it. This is the one I've been using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0779K9DG2
Without a hardware adapter that supports DisplayLink you're going to be out of luck getting more than one external monitor. Good luck! |

I just have normal HDMI cables that are plugged into my docking station. Then the docking station plugs into my MacBook Air with USB C...
I guess I'm not sure what type of adapter I would need? Sorry for my ignorance...just not sure...thank you for any other help! |

This dock is not based on DisplayLink.
