Default Latest Big Sur August 2020 Update Breaks Retina Mode

Before the Big Sur update, I had the option to use retina mode on display link. Now I only have the option to run native resolution or low resolutions when I change it to non native resolution. Reading email on a 4k screen in native mode is not working for me. What changed that I can no longer access the display in Retina mode? If I roll back to a driver that doesn't include the new display link manager I don't have this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
