Default DisplayLink displays don't work right in portrait with NVidia graphics

I'm running:
  • Laptop: ThinkPad P1 Gen 4
  • GPU: NVIDIA T1200
  • OS: Ubuntu 24.04
  • Driver: displaylink-driver-6.1.0
  • Linux kernel: 6.11.0-21-generic
  • evdi version: 1.14.7
  • Display server: X

The following configuration works:
  • BIOS graphics mode: Hybrid
  • Nvidia prime: off
  • 2 main monitors: DP over TB driven by graphics card
  • 2 vertical monitors: DP on DisplayLink dock

If Nvidia prime is on or BIOS graphics mode is set to discreet, the vertical monitors on DisplayLink will only update when mouse cursor moves on the display and even then it updates approximately once per second. However, I found that they work without issues if those displays are not rotated at all(configured to landscape).

Another thing to note: CPU/memory utilization and load average are all normal when this issue is occurring.

Is anyone aware of this issue? and if so is there any fix? or should i just go back to hybrid graphics?
