DisplayLink isn't detecting my monitors in Mac sonama 14.5 version
I am using 2 monitors connected to usb c docker with one HDMI cable and the other one with VGA cable. My downloaded version of display link is the latest one which supports sonama version 14 or to be precise I am using display link 1.10.2 version. I have given all access to DisplayLink(like screen recording access in privacy & security). Whenever I am connecting to monitor with displaylink running those monitor mirror itself and there is only one monitor detected in display settings.
And DisplayLink is just showing: Please allow your DisplayLink device to connect to this Mac. After connecting accessory to this Mac via USB, a system promt will appear. Please click "Allow" to ensure the device is working properly. |

Same issue black screens steps followed
I"m having same issue did you ever resolve? I have installed the display link, I did the privacy action and my result two black screens nothing. 2023 Mac Sonoma 14.5. I have the computer connected to correct spot at back and I've placed the monitor cords in the designated 1 and 2 slots at the back as well. I'm using this model: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CP8Z2D83?...t_details&th=1

Did you find a resolution I seem to have same operation as you. I have the display link installed, I have the privacy set, I have the plug of computer to back of machine and neither of the two monitors are working and I have them in correct slots at back in monitor one and two spaces. I can't even get one monitor to work. Having to revert to the one monitor on my much cheaper extender. Is it really just a dream to have two monitors on a mac

Same issue different versions
I am having the same issue on my work and personal mac. Both M3 Max. Both on 14.6.1. Personal one was on 14.4 and was not working with it either. Hopefully this will get figured out soon!
Both are running 1.10.2 of display link manager. |

I guess everyone above 14 sonama is facing this issue. We need an updated version of this app |

To all of those posting in this thread:

I have 3 Dell external monitors on my Dell dock station (WD22TB4), 2 of them by display port cable and one by HDMI cable.
My Macbook (M3 Max) only recognizes one and mirror the same image to all of them. The Dock Station is connected to the computer via Thunderbolt 4. I have already allowed Screen Recording Permission but still have this problem. Macbook running Sonoma 14.6.1 |

Based on your description, the adapter has a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (DP MST) Hub inside of it. Macs do NOT support DP MST, which is why the displays are being mirrored. |
