Default Screen not comming on.

I have a display link USB adapter to run a third screen. I have it connected up via HDMI but when i plug it in the PC moves my desktop around as i would expect but the screen does not always come on.

Its complete hit and miss, I find myself unplugging the USB and plugging it back in again for about 10 minutes before my screen receives a signal.

I know its not the screen as I have tested it.

Has anyone had this issue before?

I'm running windows 7 64bit.
Latest Driver for the Adpter also.

Sam

Yes, I have the same issue. It doesn't matter what I do, I have to wait about 10 mins after the machine is started before it will recognise the adapter, and 'bing' that the device has been connected. Both Windows 7 64bit and XP. Different screens, different adapters (but same model, WavLink USB 3.0 HDMI). Latest DisplayLink s/w.

Yep its a pain, mine sometimes never comes on unless i reboot, reckon its a problem with the adapter itself.

I take it all back, everything I have done doesnt work.

My monitor sometimes doesnt come on and its driving me mad. Took the displaylink back got a new one, still no better.
- Updated my USB,
- updated my Graphics,
- using latest driver,
- Tried a different usb lead,
- Tried a different DVI lead.

Windows knows its theres but it just doesnt fire up, I haev to reboot about 3 or 4 times and it ocasioanlly comes on.

Getting rather peed off at what should be a simple device.

I have a HP Elitebook8460p 64bit windows 7 enterprise, AMD graphics. I have run the debug tool and done everything its said.

Anyone help please?

Hi,

If possible can you uninstall LogMeIn before installing the DisplayLink software. Once the DisplayLink install is complete re-install LogMeIn.

Thanks,
James
