device drawing too much power on a mini
Getting the following on my mac:
... DisplayLink Information.zip attached. Summary of system: - Mac Mini (late 2009) - running 10.6.9 - I've tried connecting directly to the mac, as well as via a powered USB hub - neither seem to work. - monitor is in portrait mode - performance seems fine (I do a lot of text editing, so not graphically intensive) - I've tried various cables & USB ports - no change in outcome :-( ... ideas ? OK, changing 2 things seems to have bought quite a lot on this front:
As an aside: my mini can apparently drive a lot more power than the standard dictates ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4049 ), so why Apple feels the need to shut down the device is beyond me completely ... |
