Default 2 USB Ports suddenly stopped working

A few weeks ago, my USB thumb drives were no longer being recognized when plugged into the Wavlink USB 3.0 dual video docking station. Model WL-UG39DK1
However, other ports on the docking are working fine.
I updated the DisplayLink drivers to no avail. However, I got a warning message about some USB 3.0 Core Drivers that may need to be updated.
From my control panel I believe I have Intel hardware. Where can I get these drivers ?
Could this be a hardware problem ?

Hello,

DisplayLink drivers and technology does not control USB devices or ports. Those are provided by the manufacturer of the device. Please get in touch with them for further support.

Best regards,
Katarzyna

I have a Dell laptop with an Intel i7 chipset. I don't know if should go to Dell or Intel for the UBS 3.0 core drivers.

Hello,

I think that both should be able to help you.
Laptop manufacturer has all of the specs of your laptop though.

Best regards,
Katarzyna
