Unhappy V7 Docking station not working with DisplayLink driver on Ubuntu

Hi,

I just installed DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Ubuntu 1.4 | 10 Oct 2017 on my laptop.

However I cannnot make the display of my docking station to work (only the usb ports work).

How can I get the display working ?

About the driver installation:
I am not sure it was successful, since I was requested to go to the FAQ at the end of the installation (cf screenshot)

About my setup:
Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
ASUS R558U
Intel core i5 7th gen
Nvidia Geforce 940mx

Regards,

Louis

The installation looks good. Have you read the FAQ and created a config file for modesetting?

Thanks,
Michal
