Default Problem with Chrome and VStudio

Hello,

I have a usb3-to-4k adapter containing the DL-5500 chipset connected to my laptop with AMD Radeon HD 6650M, and running 4k@30Hz in W7.

This works somewhat, however I get severe lag and ugly behavior when using Chrome or VStudio. I'm guessing it's an hardware acceleration issue.

How do I fix it?

PS. I think I run the latest drivers.

We recommend the AMD 7xxx graphics cards as a minimum for productivity on 4K:

Older hardware is slower on 4K as you have found. So although it works, it will be laggy in some applications unless you can upgrade the video card.

Was able to work around this issue by disabling hardware acceleration for Chrome and VStudio 2013.

Had a similar problem with Google Earth, but switching rendering to OpenGL resolved the matter.

Edit: I actually don't have any performance issues on my feeble hardware, graphics acceleration aside.
