Default How i disable Windows DisplayLink support tool?

I used the following article for an error analysis: https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink.

Unfortunately it is not possible to disable the writing of logfiles. Disabling the logfiles via the tool does not work.

Also the complete uninstallation via DisplayLink Installation Cleaner 9.1.1462.exe and a new installation didn't change anything.

I urgently need a solution.

Hello Sven,

Currently there isn't any mechanism to disabling logging to the local file system.
These files are not sent anywhere though, unless you manually decide to.

DisplayLinkManager and FirmwareTrace are rotated files.
*.EDID files are the monitor display identification details.

The customer support tool allows removing the rotation to keep older files which are then date+time stamped. Files would also have higher verbosity of logging, called "advanced". It doesn't change the basic logging.

Kind regards,
Alban
