Default Can't adjust brightness - Asus MB168b+ / Win 10 pro

I have an Asus mb168b+; I can't adjust the brightness or color on it. I have tried the hardware buttons on the monitor, and Windows display personalization settings, and Asus Display Widget. The Asus Widget says, "Selected Monitor Not Supported" even though I have selected the MB168b+. I can rotate the display orientation with the widget, but not change brightness/color profile.

I have installed:

2 displays: a TV through HDMI, and the MB168b+ through USB
Windows 10 Pro v. 10.0.17134
DisplayLink Manager v. 8.2.1952.0
Asus Display Widget 3.1.0.014
Intel HD 630 v. 23.20.16.4973
DisplayLink USB device v. 8.6.1165.0
(I installed the recommended software/drivers from the Asus mb168b+ site)

When I open Device Manger, I see both "MB168B+" and a separate "DisplayLink USB Graphics Device"

the generic PnP Monitor driver is: 10.0.17134.1 from 6/21/2006. It shows in the events tab: Device DISPLAY\ACI2183\7&a29d70d&0&UID256 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

the DisplayLink USB Graphics Device driver number is: 8.6.1165.0 from 8/24/2018. It also has an error in the events tab: Device USB\VID_17E9&PID_FF03&MI_00\6&1b596286&0&0000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

When I open Advanced Display Settings, monitor 1 (a TV) says it is connected to Intel HD 630 graphics. It says Monitor 2 (MB168b+) is connected to MB168b+

Hello,

I don't believe that third party application has been modified to control brightness/contrast through DDC/CI standard in Windows 10. Instead of adding a custom communication, we now use a standard.
We have scheduled implementing the buttons in a different way than Windows 7, but there isn't a solution available yet.

For brightness and contrast, freeware applications like ScreenBright will be able to control the monitor. The application is very old because the DDC/CI standard is not recent. Other applications may be available.

Kind regards,
Alban
