Default after 10/8 Win7 update BVU195 inoperative

On 10/8/13 the attached windows updates occured. see attached: updates on 10_8

Since then, I am unable to use my Diamond BVU195, which up until then was working correctly.

System:

Intel i7 3400 3.4 GHz
16 GB Ram
Windows 7 Home Prem sp 1 64 bit

connect BVU195 directly via usb port, no hub used.

Running the latest version of your drivers, gives the message attached as it fails. De install

and install of two previous vers. now give errors. see attached display link issue image

Running thru your debug check list gives an indication the devices did not install properly.

attached pf adapter properties. see display link issue image 3

my USB 3 controller driver is current and my AMD 6950 drivers are current..

I own three bvu195(s), used all three simulataneously in past on this machine without issue. But 6 mo ago, removed two, using only one....again flawless until the Windows updates.

One thing I notice. After install of the two latest driver versions, my pc was being interrupted repeatedly as I typed the above events in a text message, loosing focus and having to select the doc or page to continue typing.
Also, I would get interrupted in my browser when typing in a url or my id and password in your forum.

To the point my incorrect password locked me out of your forum for 15 minutes. I removed the driver and the interrupt issue went away, page focus became normal.

Also to verify Windows had not hosed the hardware, I installed each on my MacBook Pro and they worked without issue after installing the latest mac drivers.

Hi,

From looking at the logs the DisplayLink software is not installed.

You can get the latest version from here:
http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php

Thanks,
James

Hi,

Sorry, having read your original post I see you have tried installing the DisplayLink software already.

The installer logs tell me that the drivers will be installed when the adapter is plugged in.
As the adapter hasn't been detected there are unfortunately no DisplayLink logs in the support files.

I can't make out what your attachments say. Can you reply with notes of the error messages?
Is there a mention of a PID_8060?

Thanks,
James

James, sorry for the delay in response. I have had to ditch the use of the BVU195. I went ahead and purchased a second graphics card. Picked up an additional three monitor ports with no add drivers on the pc.

thanks for looking at this. I am certain the Win7 update caused my issue. God I bet keeping up with that companies actions is a real treat. I bet one cringes after each update release by MSFT. I do!
