Default BigSur 11.5.2 broke DisplayLink

Hello!

I have a Mac Mini M1 and have been using DisplayLink for a while and it works pretty well. No complaints -- on the contrary, thank you guys!

Last week my Mac upgraded to BigSur 11.5.2 and DisplayLInk stopped working. No error messages -- Display link only says <No monitor detected>

I checked and my DL version seems to be the latest one, 1.5.0 build 58.125

Other than downgrading BigSur to 11.5.1, was anyone able to fix it?

Thanks!

Sergio

Hello

Thank you for reaching out!

Would you be able to gather logfiles for us to investigate the issues?

Detailed instructions how to do that can be found here: How to Report MacOS Issues to DisplayLink

You can attach the logfiles to your response here or send the logfiles with a brief problem description to technical-enquiries@synaptics.com for speedy support.

Thank you,
Katarzyna

Had same issue. I switched to HDMI instead of DP and got it working. Worth a try?

Smile Mirror Display not able to make it stop Till NOW!

The last post said to change the plugs from one to the other.

it worked!!! it has been down for 4 days. Came back from a trip where I was using my monitor on my laptop came back and plugged it in with what I thought was the correct cable. I had one in the HDMI on port set 1 and one in the HDMI in port set two. swapped to a display port and no change. Them I moved the cable from one to two and two to one and damn if it just started working.

THANK YOU!!!

Default monitors finally detected

M1 MacBook / BigSur 11.5.2 / DisplayLink 1.5.0

Switched the docking station from one USB port on MacBook to the other and back several times until both monitores got detected again.

This might happen again every time you disconnect the docking station
