Post Windows Server 2008 R2 - no joy joy

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine using a IOGear GUC2015v. Everything appears to be installed and running correctly but the light is not on.

I've attached the output from the debug tool.

Device Manager Hardware ID

USB\VID_17E9&PID_0058

File Type: zip BATCHSERVER_20120314_112810.zip (2.06 MB, 2 views)

Hi

My guess is that the primary graphics card or driver you have installed is not a WDDM compatible driver (Windows 7 driver). This is needed by DisplayLink software to operate correctly on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (and their server equivalents).

The zip file you posted didn't have a System Detail.txt file in it that I would have expected. This would have confirmed my guess.

That appears to be the problem. We called Dell and the built in card does not have WDDM drivers. However this server does have optional video cards and a couple support dual monitors. We weren't informed that there were other video cards when we ordered. So it looks like we'll be going a different route now, and buying one of the other cards once we can verify compatibility.

Thank you for your time.
