Windows Server 2008 R2 - no joy joy
We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine using a IOGear GUC2015v. Everything appears to be installed and running correctly but the light is not on.
I've attached the output from the debug tool. Device Manager Hardware ID USB\VID_17E9&PID_0058&REV0102 USB\VID_17E9&PID_0058 |

Hi
My guess is that the primary graphics card or driver you have installed is not a WDDM compatible driver (Windows 7 driver). This is needed by DisplayLink software to operate correctly on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (and their server equivalents). The zip file you posted didn't have a System Detail.txt file in it that I would have expected. This would have confirmed my guess. Wim |

That appears to be the problem. We called Dell and the built in card does not have WDDM drivers. However this server does have optional video cards and a couple support dual monitors. We weren't informed that there were other video cards when we ordered. So it looks like we'll be going a different route now, and buying one of the other cards once we can verify compatibility.
Thank you for your time. |
