Hello,
I have bought a WavLink WL-UG39DK4 docking station, and am experiencing video freezes with it. I am using it with an Acer Aspire ES-15 laptop running Windows 10 and an Asus VZ249 HDMI monitor. I have looked at the tips at https://support.displaylink.com/know...load%20section and have tried capturing logs. When the external monitor looses connection, then I often get a freeze on my Acer laptop screen. I have it set-up to duplicate the screen. I have captured some screen shots and logs, see attached. Any suggestions please? Kind regards, Tony Last edited by tonygibbs16; 01-31-2025 at 03:37 PM. |

I wonder if turning the power sleep options off might have fixed my issue.
I will keep testing... |

It does not seem to have fixed it, because when I changed a YouTube window from full-screen to windowed and back then the external display connection was lost.
I heard the Windows USB disconnect sound when the video disconnection occurred. The USB audio is still working through the dock, so it is only the video that has been lost. Power cycling just the Asus monitor does not restore it. Power cycling the dock does restore it. Logs attached. Thoughts? Kind regards, Tony Last edited by tonygibbs16; 01-30-2025 at 06:26 PM. |
