Default Dell D6000 Docking Station and New 10.15.6 update FIX

Hi All,

I have a MacBook Air and a Dell D6000 docking station. For the last few OSX updates, the Displaylink software was horrible. Not working, flickering screen, wouldn't sync, clamshell issue....etc. After the latest release, multiple install, uninstall, trial of both the full driver and the manager, I was about to give up. Did some further digging and found this in the Dell forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250738212

The firmware of the D6000 has been updated since I got it in May of last year. I got the latest firmware here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en...driverid=t8y8t and updated the docking station with it. That fixed all my issues!!!! It worked the second I plugged my Macbook into the docking station.

The only thing to be aware of with the firmware update is that you need to do it with a Windows computer. Luckily I have a windows laptop as well as a Mac so it wasn't a problem.

Issue solved!

This sucks big time if your only computer is a MacBook I wish dell would release the driver to be updated on macOS.
