Default DisplayLink device can't see my 2nd monitor

I've just installed a new Anker 563 USB-C Docking Station to connect 2 external monitors to my MacBook Air M1 2020 laptop. I downloaded the latest DL Manager software, and assured I am updated MacOS software (Sonoma 14.1.1).

Monitor 1 is plugged into the displayport port and is working fine. Monitor 2 is plugged into the HDMI port (I've tried both 2K and 4K ports) but is not seen by the device.

Both monitors have only displayport ports. The first is connected displayport to displayport. The second is connected displayport to HDMI. Is this the issue?

Display port to HDMI requires an "Active" adapter do you have one of these connected to convert the signal.?

Also have you given the DisplayLink software privacy rights enabled for screen recoding.?

HDMI to DP adapters are VERY rare. Like 99,9% of all DP to HDMI adapters are one-way adapters - meaning the DP connector must be plugged into the source and HDMI into the monitor.

Default Support

Macbook Air System12 updated today. All I can select in Air Pref on the air monitor. The HDMI screen(acer) does not show up. You can move the mouse between Air and acer but then have an extended 2 screen display. I can not find a way to select "the other monitor". So I can have one or the other but I can not put different files on each screen.

It has been a year since I had this setup going, I sure must be missing something.

In the past I used there diagnostic too and emailed it to them. A

So anyway to connect to Tech support by email - nothing I could find on site.
