Default What is this gibberish generated by DisplayLink?

Hi,

My two extra monitors are not working with my DisplayLink device. I'm running Arch Linux.

I figured I could debug a little bit and found this:

Code:
❯ /usr/lib/displaylink/DisplayLinkManager -h
Unknown argument: -h
DisplayLinkManager v6.5.17.0

Usage:
DisplayLinkManager [options]

Options:

DisplayLinkManager
-debug debug logging
-logging log to console
-version display version

Copyright (c) 2003 - 2024 DisplayLink (UK) Ltd. All rights reserved
So I ran:

Code:
/usr/lib/displaylink/DisplayLinkManager -logging -debug
I got all kinds of gibberish, separated by newlines. At the risk of sharing sensitive information, here are the first two lines:

Code:

What is that? I thought a simple base64 decode might work but that gives random binary numbers.

Anyone any idea how to decode this?

Note from volunteer moderator - I moved this discussion into the Linux section of the forum.

Those are encrypted logs generated by the DisplayLink Manager process. Only DisplayLink can decrypt them.

For reference, Arch Linux is not officially supported by DisplayLink. This section from the Arch Linux wiki may be helpful --> https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/DisplayLink
