Default Windows 8 Release Preview

With the latest version of DisplayLink 6.3 on Windows 8 Release Preview, when connecting the DisplayLink device, all monitors go black, reboot required.

Using Model: WS-UGA17D1

Is this on nVidia GPU? If yes, then this is a known problem with v6.3, which is targeted to be fixed for next software release.

Do we have an ETA on when the next version of the beta software will be out? My company has about 50 ppl using windows 8 RP as of now and we are all using displaylink software.

Hopefully this is fixed ASAP.

Thanks, Nexttonomy

Rough estimate would be nice...I need to use my external display and I'm reverting back to win7.

I found that the 6.2 drivers work with Windows 8 release preview and an Nvidia 285 gtx. The initial beta displaylink for win8 drivers also worked for me... I discovered in one last try after several attempts at using the rogue 6.3 drivers.
